How I stopped feeling so fucking anxious all the time

I noticed myself being more anxious these last couple of weeks. More than the usual ADHD anxious 🤭

And because I'm so deep in my self-development and healing in this cycle of life, it was quite noticeable for me.

So I did what I always do when I notice myself feeling more anxious:

I started paying attention to my thoughts.

Because from my experience, if you want to get to the bottom of why you're feeling anxious, one of the best places to start is by noticing your thought patterns.

Our thoughts create so much of our daily experience.

And when I took a step back and created more stillness in my days — longer walks in the woods, more yin yoga, meditating in a quiet environment — I realized why 🥹

I was (again 🥹) thinking about HOW, instead of putting my energy towards WHAT.

I was taking my energy and presence out of what I can control, and trying to solve all the "what ifs" that may or may not even happen.

And that's what anxiety often feels like to me.

My mind trying to solve problems in an imaginary future.

"What if this happens?"

"But HOW would I deal with that?"

And suddenly, I'm living in a future that doesn't even exist yet, trying to solve problems I don't actually have 🤡

And this is where my manifestation baby brain comes in. 😂

Because I genuinely believe that we don't need to know HOW everything is going to happen.

We need to know WHAT we want.

The HOW?

That's where I let the Universe do its thing.

Or God. Or life. Or whatever you believe in. ❤️

Because when I try to figure out every single step, every possible scenario, every little detail of how something is going to happen, I'm essentially trying to micromanage the Universe.

And girl...

Who am I to think I know all the possible ways something can happen? 😂

This is why I think synchronicities are so magical.

We know what we want.

We align with the energy of it by becoming the version of ourselves who already has it.

And then life gives us the HOW.

Let me give you a very simple example.

Let's say you're someone who is stressed because you have hundreds of emails that need to be answered every single day.

You could spend all day thinking:

"HOW am I going to get all of this done?"

And constantly looking at the mounting workload, feeling more and more stressed about the situation you're in.

But what if instead, you asked yourself:

WHAT do I actually want?

Maybe you want smaller workload, to actually enjoy your days at work, healthy work-life balance.

And then you stop putting all of your energy into figuring out HOW to survive your current situation and you do what you can.

Stop constantly stressing about what needs to be done and start becoming the person who already has the thing you want.

You don't obsess over the workload.

You don't spend your evenings worrying about tomorrow's emails.

You start letting go of the anxiety and trusting that there are solutions you simply cannot see yet.

And then...

Your boss comes to you with news that you have a new intern starting this week, and they have the exact same background, so you won't need to train them from scratch. They'll be able to take some of this workload off your plate.

👀

You didn't know that was coming. You couldn't have planned for it.

You couldn't have figured out that HOW.

But life did.

And this doesn't mean we sit on the couch and do absolutely nothing, waiting for the Universe to deliver everything to us. 😂 (believe me, I've tried 🥹)

We still take action, but not to figure out the how, but what and who we need to become.

We stop believing that we need to know the entire path before we can take the first step.

You don't need to know the HOW to be able to trust that something is possible.

You don't need to solve every possible future problem before you allow yourself to move.

And you definitely don't need to hold yourself back just because your brain can't find the solution yet.

Maybe it's time to let your brain rest a little. 🥹

Take your energy back from all the imaginary futures.

Because maybe the thing you're trying so hard to figure out...

is something you were never supposed to figure out in the first place. ❤️

Until next week ❤️

With all my love,

Darja x

I’ve been in a bit of a funk this week 🥹 And it got me thinking about something I feel like we don’t talk about enough: What happens when life feels heavy, and you suddenly find yourself reaching for the old familiar ways of coping? The habits you’ve been trying to leave behind. The things you told yourself you were “done with.” The decisions you know don’t necessarily lead you where you want to go. Because when we’re overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or simply going through a heavier...

If you still believe that getting the promotion, earning X amount of money, getting married, having a baby, buying the house, moving to your dream country… …will suddenly make everything in your life better and make you magically happy, I'm here to deliver the bad news. Don't shoot the messenger 🫣 Those things can absolutely bring you joy. But they will never be able to take away the anxiety. The feeling that everything is on fire. The feeling of being pulled in 17 different directions at...

POV: reprogramming my nervous system because I was raised being told I have to work hard for everything I want. I posted this POV on TikTok recently and got sooo many DMs asking me: “Okay but HOW do you actually do that?” 👀 And honestly, I love this question. Because it’s one thing to understand that your nervous system, beliefs and subconscious patterns influence how you show up in life… And another thing to actually start changing them in your everyday life. So I thought this week, instead...
